Each year, WKXR
is
proud
to broadcast a live radio auction to benefit The American Red
Cross. The event originated after hurricane Hugo
slammed the Carolinas, and has become an annual event. This
year's live radio auction will be Thursday, March 27th
from
9:00am until 6:00pm. Items up for bid will include
pottery,
household items, gift certificates, artwork, and lots more. The
items
will be set up at the National Guard Armory in Asheboro for
viewing on Preview Day from 11:00am until 6:00pm, Wednesday, March 26th
and on
the day of the
auction.
Remember to tune into 1260 AM or Time Warner Channel 8 for
your chance
to bid on some wonderful items while supporting a good cause. If
you plan on participating, you will need a bidder number. Contact
the Red Cross to get you bidder number in advance, or you can get it in
person on preview
day or the day of the auction. For information, keep listening to
1260
WKXR
or call the American Red Cross office at (336) 629-2399 or (800)
