The staff of WKXR:

Larry Reid is a graduate of Western Carolina University with a BS in Radio / TV / Film and a minor in music.  He arrived at WKXR in 1988 after work at the WCU campus station and WTHP in High Point.

As the morning announcer you can hear Larry on WKXR weekday mornings from 6 until 10. He is also the Program Director and the Music Director.

Bruce Trogdon began in radio after receiving a BS in Music Education from UNC - Pembroke in 1985. He can be heard Monday - Thursday evenings and many weekend afternoons.

Since 1989 Tony Wright has provided play-by-play coverage of many local sporting events like Eastern Randolph High School football, Asheboro High School basketball and Post 45 American Legion baseball.
Tony is a 1987 graduate of Asheboro High School and has a Degree in Radio-Television Broadcasting from Central Carolina Community College.

Tom Nixon has more than thirty years experience in Triad-area radio and works a varied schedule for WKXR.

Melissa has been on the air Saturday mornings since 1986, starting the weekend with your requests along with the latest news and sports. She is a graduate of UNC - Greensboro with a BA in Speech Communication with a Concentration in Broadcasting Performance.
